Internal Revenue Service

Obtaining an Employer Identification Number (EIN, or federal tax number) through the online process is still working, but if the Responsible Person applying for an EIN does not have a Social Security Number or ITIN, then the new company must wait until the International office reopens. They are currently not responding to phone, fax or email queries or applications.
